Eyes Wide Shut

My eyes swelled up on thursday night's training. so much so that i had to retire because i couldn't see. Took friday off. The swell didn't go away yet but at least the pain and the itch wasn't there.. but man really looked like a chinese, you could only see the slits. Went for training on saturday morning and in the afternoon went to buy my laptop. I got myself a Compaq laptop Duron 950. Then later went for an exausting meeting with my masters and seniors, exposing my self to the clubs admin and politics.About this time was when all the swelling went away.

Today went for karate in the morning(sunday), forgot my top, that was embarrasing, bu tmy master asked meto train anyway. Note to self, put all relevant articles in ONE bag. I slept the afternoon away. Still waiting for something to happen.

So till the next blog.

Different World

Came back from Arshan's house, 1 wakeup call to get me evaluating myself again and life. His dad succumbed to liver cancer. Then another world emerged before me when comparing to Uni to work and to the elite with the ideas. All heading towards the same conclusion. To be a skilled worker and to be payed as much as possible for it.

One is superficial, with objectives and methods too theorethical for practical use. It's meant more too prepare the mind of the students for the demands of working life. The other is sitting in the knowledge goldmine and feeling miserable that npthing happening with the same boring and pathetic days where you count the minutes to the end of the days and dread every otehr moment when you return to the same routine.

And there is the last one which came to me as a surprise, from the most unlikely of sources. Seems like the past few weeks have thought me never t judge a book by it's cover. Now this is the world of optimists and oppertunists. If you hang around those that have it, it'll rub off onto you. I'm still stunned, trying to get this down for fear that if i sleep i might forget it. We never realise what we are really capable of doing until what we see what other people are doing.

Public Holiday

Despite my promise to myself to stay in more often and to catch up with my sleep, i again wasted another day outside. Well atleast i narrowed down my preferred choice of notebooks to either the Compaq Pressario 1700 or 700. Again i blew more money away at McD's and Coffee Bean. I had better avoid those establishments for the coming month.

Can you imagine that this is actually the first time that i had roamed around MidValley? Makes me wonder what else am i gonna miss when i leave for Australia. Anyway came back for dinner and then joined Jason, Verina, Jennifer, Ken Ming, Tirath and Eu Keong at McD's(yes twice in the same day!) and came back not very late.

I also found out that they were giving a free preview of AXN on Astro, so the bags under my eyes are because of the screening of "you're under arrest". Well today i just came back with Donny (a guy from CSA), did an installation(yes, finally!) and discovered the other side of KL which i swear, if you droped me there i wouldn't be able to find my way home.

Man i better think of a way to make my millions before i my brain goes dead with all this work.

Julian owes us bigtime.

I would like to blog more often but there isn't mcuh to say. My job is routine so i better refrain from mentioning it anymore. Last night me and Wen Yung assisted Julian in moving his apartment stuff. Not an easy task, if Wen Yung didn't come we wiouldn't be able to finish by midnight. Later we went to Puchong for our makan. Then came back at 12.30, if we were to go anywhere else i think it would have been later.

I woke up today expecting my whole body to hurt, but then again because of lifting soo many desktops and servers as well as martial arts, the pain didn't come. And i didn't even sleep well. Note to self: " do not stuff myself silly after midnight".

6 day weeks?

Well this is the first saturday that i've been working in CSA, the morning was pretty flat.. well atleast i had access to the internet. basic, expected, desired, suprising, unvbelievable atleast i learn't something going for that talk in the planetarium, i can understand the complexities it comes to running a company that has 900 employees. This is totally different with the senario when i was working in Micro Village, from sales to the delivery there is soo much verification and 2 database system, one barcode, Oracle based and similiar system i think just so that it displays more information.

Well i came back at CSA office at 1.20, damn i just missed Mr. Low, so i think i'll get my bag on monday. Arrived back at home at 1.40. Ate chicken rice and came back to play gt2 till 4.30... woke up at 7, i got missed calls form Joshua, Jason and Wen Yung. Well i wanted to attend the gathering but by the time i came back from dinner with my parents, everybody was already on their way back.

Well since i was already dressed up, i gave Ai Ling a call and met up with her in pyramid. To my surprise i saw the trailer to Lord of the rings and Episode 2. They are really a long way to go. Well at least there is Harry potter, but i'm expecting a let down as it usually happens when there is cross-genres. Well had an interesting talk with Ai Ling, and got me thinking about what i wanna do with my self,

short term:
Basic: finish job training

Expected: to be content one way or another after the holidays, would most probably regard this holiday as the fuitful but deep inside would think that i could have done more

Desired: perhaps a sign to keep me going on.

Surprising: If i actually get to understand C/C++ and motorola assembly as well as a head start on the semester.

Unbelievable: To get a girl friend that true cares for me as much as i do for her. To come out with an idea taht woudl eventually lead me to millions after a few year? perhaps watermarking technology or encryption? i better dream on boy.

There you have it, the rantings of a student engineer that might be on the verge of cracking up if something doesn't happen soon, something better happen. Tommorrow will be karate in the morning and i suppoe i'll try to fill up my remaining free time with (i hope) finally spray painting my car as well as cleaning both the 4wd and the dog too.

Holidays are here i guess...

It's 1.20am on a monday morning.... my work begins at 8.30, i think... I expect a shit load of work ahead of me, hope that won't happen because i'll be also applying for another data entry job at night. Ok exams ended on friday about 4. Our class was so demoralised that we could actually taste our doom and the loss of RM 2000 to repeat a subject not even related to our major. Lets just hope and pray, miracles can happen. I have not ever failed a paper and i don't plan to start.

I sent Jack home and returned to home, wanted to sleep but was too restless. Went to Steph's for an embarrasing session of karraoke, guess what? i can't sing for nuts. Then on the journey home, saw an old lady being robbed by 2 indian men near Projet along the atria stretch. Got off bike, yelled, jumped in to ditch and got up the other side(ouch), anyway, they had already left with her necklace, her ring and bracelet and purse was still intact. She was shaken and had scratch marks on her neck, escorted her home and i myself went home.

Saturday, karate in the morning, caught samurai X, then i had all my medical check up and an X-ray taken(not as painful as i thought it would be). Then visited Manohar to borrow his PS, mine is busted..... suprise, he's is the later model with the thingamajig square connection. Went to Steph's to watch Bridget Jones Diary. Then came home to sleep. Oh i saw my dog killed his first cat, cool shit man... i'm damn proud.

Sunday, karate again(hey i better get my money's worth rite?), lunch and went to grocery shopping, suprise, 2 new bakeries both giving 50% discounts, bought myself a American chocolate. Came back to see a crappy B-grade movie King Cobra, yeah the tittle says it all! Then went to buy a Boston Cheese cake for Steph for the DDR session.(my calves still hurt, i bet they'll hurt more if i don't get some sleep).

Just came back celebratign Ming's b-day, Hon Mun, Lucas, Chun Kitt, Diana, Vinodh, Mingus, Hong Sheng attended, nice seeing you all again.

Well that's about it, i'll try to blog more often.

Peace people

2 down 4 to go

2 of my papers are done, Advanced Engineering... well let's just say with the last-minute submission of the 50% project didn't help at all. The previous week, Mr. Sukumar decided to add a little more spice into our exams by giving us an assignment to be completed in 3 days and to be handed up on Friday... ahem the exam was on the following Monday. It may be a blessing in disguise, i'll tell you after the ece2601 paper.

Electromagnetics, a real disaster, not only did i do the same questions before the exams... but just because i forgot the formula i had to leave out 3 questions. This is the most difficult paper so far. Maybe that's why everybody is treating it like a holiday.. we have 8 days before our next paper. I may have secured my employment for my industrial training with Computer Systems Advisers, and the nerve of the other people that i applied to.. they can't even bother to reply to say that no help is necessary. Well that the real world for you.

Today rode in a modified Perdana V6 ala Mitsu Eterna, with a vcd player and a 5 inch lcd screen.. didn't get to look under the hood though. hehe. Neil gave me a ride after i helped drive back Sumana's iswara(she got into an accident with a motorbike and i have no idea how it could collapse the bumber, smash the lights and also bend the bonnet). Woo now i'm REALLY impressed with build and material quality of proton cars. Please feel free to prove me wrong.

Let's celebrate

My advanced engineering project is finally completed. BUt my journey is far from over. Exams in 20 days and counting. Still calm for the moment. Despite knowing that i am still incapable of doing any of my papers. I pray for a pass.

Peace people.
